THE CHALLENGE

The idea behind this responsive web app was to create a space where students can foster connections within their field to promote motivation and engagement in their prospective studies. The “Study Together” project would connect students online to facilitate peer-to-peer learning, support, and feedback.

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

Information architecture was establish to create structure, organization, and a hierarchy of information, ensuring clarity, usability, and in alignment with user needs.

WIREFRAMES

I created lo-fi wireframes to swiftly conceptualize and iterate on the fundamental structure and functionality of the app. My goal was to work with the MVP in mind to gain rapid feedback in the early stages of design.

MOOD BOARD

I curated two mood boards during the initial design phase to help gather visual inspiration and establish a cohesive design direction for the app. I selected this board to represent the feelings and emotions I want ThinkHIVE to evoke in its users.

Takeaways

This marked my first project without completing all initial research and UX deliverables independently. Serving solely as the UI designer posed an interesting challenge, compelling me to absorb given information and craft an application mirroring a real-world experience. This challenge emphasized the importance of adaptability, as I won't always work independently. Whether joining a team mid-project or collaborating with unfamiliar colleagues, I've honed my flexibility and adaptive skills. Embracing these challenges has enriched my UI practice, providing valuable skills for future projects.

Thanks
